SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships for Students Demonstrating Financial Need

The Wong Foundation offers scholarships to deserving students demonstrating financial need for those who want to participate in after-school and Summer STEM educational programs as well as STEM competitions.  Additionally, scholarship opportunities are available for high school seniors planning to major in several different STEM areas of interest in college. Offering scholarship aid aligns with the mission of The Wong Foundation to provide quality hands-on science to all students regardless of socio-economic background.

Scholarship Application and Review Process

After-School and Summer STEM Education Program Scholarships

How to apply: In order to be considered for a scholarship, all applicants must (1) complete an application (see below) and (2) submit a letter from both the student and the guardian stating why the student would like to attend After-School and/or Summer STEM educational programs. The guardian’s letter must give an overview of why they are in need of assistance. If the student is seven (7) years of age or under, he or she may draw a picture in place of writing a letter.

Both the student and the parent(s) should carefully review the application for accuracy and sign where indicated.

Please send your application 60 days before the opening day of registration for the STEM competition for which you are applying for scholarship. You will be notified of the committee’s decision by the day of opening registration for your STEM registration.
