About the Wong Center for Education
Our mission is to inspire students to grow their STEM awareness and create pathways for their future.

Our Story
The Wong Center for Education (formerly the Wong Foundation) was founded in 2015 by William Wong in loving memory of his sister, Elizabeth. From its inception, the Wong Center has been dedicated to honoring her legacy through expanding access to high-quality STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education for students across the Chicagoland area.
Recognizing the growing gap in science education caused by budget cuts to curricula nationwide, William Wong created the Wong Center to ensure that young people, particularly those in underserved communities, would have opportunities to explore and excel in STEM fields. Partnering with schools, park districts, and science organizations, the Wong Center has introduced hundreds of elementary, middle, and high school students to hands-on, engaging STEM enrichment programs.
Our Work
The Wong Center's work goes beyond classroom learning. It helps by offering the confidence, skills, and experience to build pathways toward future STEM careers. By making STEM accessible, exciting, and fun, the Wong Center for Education not only strengthens academic achievement but also inspires a lifelong love for learning.
At its core, the Wong Center for Education believes that better educational opportunities improve lives and drive social change. By equipping the next generation with strong foundations in STEM, the Wong Center is helping shape both the future of individual students and the vitality of U.S. businesses and communities.
