STEM Afterschool Education
 
The Wong Center for Education sponsors afterschool STEM education programs for all ages as afterschool programs, camps and community classes in partnership with Chasewood Learning. Click on the following link for the latest program information:

Scholarships
 
The Wong Center for Education offers scholarships to deserving students demonstrating financial need for those who want to participate in after-school and Summer STEM educational programs as well as STEM competitions.  Additionally, scholarship opportunities are available for high school seniors planning to major in several different STEM areas of interest in college. Offering scholarship aid aligns with the mission of The Wong Foundation to provide quality hands-on science to all students regardless of socio-economic background. Competition Team Mentoring
 
The Wong Center for Education provides STEM competition mentoring and scholarship for robotic competitions such as the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), First Lego League (FLL), FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) as well as Science Olympiad and Math Bowl. 
STEM Outreach
 
The Wong Center for Education promotes STEM awareness through STEM nights at schools, library workshops and more.

 

Events

Elite Robot Skills Camp 2024
 
This year was the inaugural Elite Robot Skills camp, hosted in Aurora Illinois by USEL-Midwest in partnership with the Wong Center for Education.  Teams from across the world came together to focus on international cooperation as students learned from top coaches while developing elite level robotics skills.  The Wong Center for Education sponsored a team from Ukraine as well as a teacher and student from Aurora.  Learn more about camp here.
World Robot Olympiad (WRO)
 
The 2024 season for The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is now open!  Join people from all over the world as students develop their creativity, design & problem solving skills through challenging & educational robot competitions and activities. STEM Based Challenges
 
The Wong Center for Education is excited to announce that soon we will be running STEM based challenges through the local schools which Chasewood Learning has partnered with. Check back in Fall 2024 for more exciting details.
