STEM Afterschool Education
 
The Wong Center for Education sponsors afterschool STEM education programs for all ages as afterschool programs, camps and community classes in partnership with Chasewood Learning. Click on the following link for the latest program information:

STEM Ignition
STEM IGNITION empowers students through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics after-school programs.   We create an opportunity for all students to feel a sense of pride and accomplishment as they execute each lesson, are awed by the results and become eligible for competitions. 
Community partnerships provide a variety of experiences for students across a diverse array of STEM fields.

Competition Team Mentoring
 
The Wong Center for Education provides STEM competition mentoring and scholarship for robotic competitions such as the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), First Lego League (FLL), FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), VEX Robotics as well as Science Olympiad and Math Bowl. 

 

Events

Elite Robot Skills Camp 2024
 
2024 was the inaugural Elite Robot Skills camp, hosted in Aurora Illinois by USEL-Midwest in partnership with the Wong Center for Education.  Teams from across the world came together to focus on international cooperation as students learned from top coaches while developing elite level robotics skills.  The Wong Center for Education sponsored a team from Ukraine as well as a teacher and student from Aurora.  Learn more about camp here.
World Robot Olympiad (WRO)
 
The 2025 season for The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is now open!  Join people from all over the world as students develop their creativity, design & problem solving skills through challenging & educational robot competitions and activities. STEM Outreach
 
The Wong Center for Education promotes STEM awareness through STEM nights at schools, library workshops and more.
