OUR HISTORY

 

The Wong Center for Education (formerly the Wong Foundation) was founded in 2015 as a 501(c) (3) non-profit educational organization located in Illinois. The Wong Foundation is involved in many programs which allow Chicagoland area K-12 students a real world application of the STEM concepts they learn in STEM enrichment classes through a variety of STEM competitions.

Currently the Wong Center for Education founder, William Wong, is the National Organizer for the World Robot Olympiad. The Wong Center for Education also conducts STEM based competitions and challenges as part of the World Robot Olympiad and the McHenry Country VEX robotic competitions. The Wong Center has also been a mentor and sponsor for many STEM competition teams including: FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge, World Robot Olympiad,  and VEX Robotics. Many of the Wong Center for Education mentored and sponsored teams have qualified for State, National and even World competitions.
